Ministry Needs/Wishlist

Home for Health is a non profit ministry. We have been blessed with a wonderful facility and property that serves all of us well. And though we are more than functional, there are areas that we would like to improve so that we can increase the quality of stay and therapuetic value for our guests. We desire to improve our program and ministry outreach without increasing our costs or expenses so that we can always offer our services to guests for donations.

We too realize that the Holy Spirit has the ability to impress people with the needs of others even if they are not spoken or written down and because of that, if there is something that the Lord impresses you with, service orientated or gift oriented, for the furtherance of this ministry please feel free to call us 1-606-663-6671. And just so you know, we don’t hold our hand out asking for money (we never send mail outs or requests for money), this ministry only includes this page on our website so that you might get an idea of things that we would like to accomplish with the ministry.

It is also our desire to help establish other ministries elsewhere, so we will not always be looking to add something new to Home for Health, but only to have the facility as up to date, quality and as sustainable as possible.

Present Needs
Kitchen: The center is in need of some work in the main kitchen. Things that need to be done include a new floor and countertop, and a new stove.

non_profit_donationLaundry: Our current washer and dryer are not adequate to keep up with the amount of laudrey created from therapies and all the people that stay here. We would like two go from a side by side set up to two quality stackable units. Having two washers and two dryers would help things go much smoother. Donated, Thank you!! We were able to take the funds donated to Lowes and they gave us one washer and dryer as a match to the donation. They also threw in 5year warranties for the machines. God is soo Good!

Remodel: Besides the needs of the main kitchen, we would like to convert our back deck to a sun room and add a deck beyond the current location. We would like to also add to stairwells from each deck to a concrete patio with an eating area and lounging space.

Therapy Equipment that we would like to have. We have had quite a bit of equipment donated but still would like to acquire the following:

A commercial ice maker for hydrotherapy use
A Hydrocollator for hot fomentations
Two low boys for fever treatments
Items for Agriculture
An irrigation system

With the desire to produce top quality produce we will need to put in a drip line sprinkler system with an injection pump system.

A greenhouse

greenhouse We would like to be able to extend our growing season so that in the early spring month and winter months we can not only get a jump on the gardening season, but offer quality fresh produce as long as possible. Donated, Thank you!!

We have been blessed with a 2002 Subburban to help with transport of guests and for outings. The vehicle came at just the right time as our Tahoe gave up the ghost. So we were able to save the cost of repairing a well used vehicle and now have a more suitable transport vehicle.
